Hello !!
We
live in San Francisco, CA., and have a home
of our own. It is a two bedroom small cottage built in 1912. It's just right
for the two of us. We have been married 20 yrs this last Oct. 24th, 1996. We
met here in the city, and both are transplanted people. I am from Vermont and
he is from Ohio. I have two sons and he has three sons and three daughters.
Wally has a brother living near here too.
Our interests are our cars. It started back
in 1982 when my husband found a 1957 210 sedan
for sale by the proverbial little old lady! Got rid of the
new car and have been driving it ever since. In 1994 we found a 55
Bel Air two door hardtop and its been restore~restore and clean~clean
since! But it's been fun at the car shows. We have taken three-trophies, two
firsts and one second, and have meet some great people.
In March of 1998 and we found a third one!!!! Its a 1956
Bel Air Hardtop Silver and black, has a 327 w/ a 350
turbo. Really a mover and great fun car!!!
We belong to a car club, Peninsula Classic
Chevy out of San Bruno, CA. We meet once a month on the third Monday, our
meetings are at Round Table Pizza in, S. San Francisco at Chestnut Street..of
El Camino The Gang!! We now also
belong to the Golden Gate Street Machines Unlimited. They meet once a month,
on the first Tuesday at the Elks Club in San Mateo, CA on 20th Ave.
A lot has happened since I was in here
editing this last. The 57 was hit May of 98 in the drivers side front fender...
and the "usual thing" happened *G* Wally
was off and running with it-- first it was only the fender to be fixed,
then decided to do the whole thing. He did not take it off the frame but
just about. Replaced the fender..took everything off--doors and all. AND!!...
saw a 57 Buick grille in a Super Chevy magizine and said that is it! Two
weeks later we had one sitting in our garage waiting for the time to be
put in the car. Cutting here--cutting there and it looked great. Then it
was do what you do to get it ready for a paint job.. in the mean time we
were looking for a color. Had to stay w/ a green because
the interior was green--stock for a 210-- and finally found it at Hot August
Nites in 98. Saw it on a 57 and loved it. Calypso Green Brite. A F--- color,
series 94-95 for the trucks and one car they had. *G*
Finished it in time to take it to Flagstaff,
AZ., to the Western Classic Chevy Show on the 4th of July weekend, 1999.
Herb And Judy Speller went w/
us in their 55 Chevy Convertable. Had a ball.
Also, one more thing.. we have sold out
55 Bel Air-- Put in on the internet and a fellow just down the road from
us bought it. Someone we knew!!
It is now in Philly, PA......The fellow who bought it from the guy we knew loves it. Has made it a trailed car. He also has a 1958 Chevy Implala...a real beauty.
Our other interest is football!!!
We have been going to see the play since 1976. We got season tickets in 1982. We have
a great bunch of people around us and would never ask to be put in another
location. Also, one year we went to a Super Bowl, even though the 49ers did
not play in it. Got a good deal on the air fare and off we went, mind you
with no tix to the game in hand. Five minutes before game time we got tix
and in we went. It was the 25th Super Bowl in Tampa.
Guess
I should add to this too--- Have been to Dallas in 1995 to see them play...
we went w/ friends whom sit in front of us at the home
games. Jean and Dominic Cosentino, then decided what the heck and off we
went to Atlanta in 98 and St Louis in 99. We have had some great times.
